The planned routing model uses measured latency and provider health to choose a suitable verified replica for each new request. It is designed to adapt as network conditions change, rather than relying on geography alone.
Yes. The planned storage controls let you choose permitted regions and a replica count, with a minimum of three independent locations. Files inherit these settings from their bucket. If your selected regions cannot support enough independent locations, we’ll make that clear rather than store files elsewhere.
Three independent locations are the baseline. Additional replicas increase storage and replication costs, and prices can vary by region. The planned pricing flow will show an estimate before you apply a storage policy. Rates will be published before customer access opens.
Providers will earn a share of revenue from the storage and delivery they provide, with uptime and reliability influencing rewards. The planned model also recognises storing backup replicas, even when another provider handles the downloads. Revenue-share percentages, measurement rules and eligibility will be published before onboarding.
Replicated storage lets new requests be directed to another healthy provider once a failure is detected. An interrupted download may still need to be retried or resumed by the client.
Delivery uses standard HTTPS links and redirects for browsers and HTTP clients. Anyone holding a valid signed link can use it; no custom downloader is required.
